There’s a time when I can remember that I had cash in my wallet

I look out the window and there is a light

I see the trees they’re fallin and callin for me
I turn on the radio and nothin good is on
There’s nothin new with that but then I know
That the man is talkin to me he’s talkin to me
The times when I was smart and when I had good times but now I don’t
And oh that was long ago and it is gone forever now
There’s a time when I had it all
When I was able to talk to somethin other than the wall
